Search & Match
Search & Match is a specialized EVA.ai feature designed to identify candidates that align with a job, leveraging the capabilities of machine learning.
When you access this tab, you will be presented with a three-column view:
On the left, you'll find the list of available jobs.
In the center, you'll see the candidates recommended for that specific job opening.
On the right, a preview of the candidate's profile is displayed for your convenience.
You can take advantage of the search functionality to locate a specific type of job list. Simply use the dropdown option at the top left to filter the list. Within this section, you can access smart lists of jobs that have been shared with you. Additionally, you can expedite your search by entering the list's name in the 'list name' bar.
Once you've identified the job for which you'd like to find candidates, you have two options for refining your search: using the 'internal database filter' or creating an entirely new filter by selecting the 'add a new filter' option.
It's important to note that certain fields provided when creating the job are automatically considered and pre-selected when a new filter is created. For instance, if you included skills-related information during job creation, it will be added to your filter. Additionally, keywords automatically include the job title with the 'OR' operator.
Let's review the available match filter options:
Full Text Search: This option allows you to add keywords that will be searched within candidate profiles and CVs. Refer to our training article for guidance on using keywords in matches.
Use Semantic Query Expansion: Enabling this option includes synonyms in the search, expanding beyond exact keywords. Synonyms will be highlighted in yellow for easy identification.
Salary Range: You can specify a preferred salary range if it's provided in the candidate's profile. You can also include candidates without salary information by checking the 'salary range include nulls' box.
Max Distance: If the job has a specific location, you can filter candidates based on their proximity to the job location.
Job Title: This field considers both current and historical job titles of the candidate.
Company: It looks into both past and present companies where the candidate has worked.
Languages: Filters candidates based on the languages they speak.
Skills: Considers the skills listed in the candidate's profile. For more detailed information on how skills can be selected in the match filter, refer to this article : Using Skills in EVA Features | Utilising Skill Taxonomy in Match Filter
Degree Types: Filters candidates based on their degree types.
Tags: Searches for candidates with specific tags assigned to their profiles.
Exclude Tags: Excludes candidates with specific tags assigned to their profiles.
Education/Qualification: Searches for specific education details, allowing for boolean search.
School Name: Searches for candidates from specific schools, also allowing for boolean search.
Desired Positions: Looks for candidates with desired positions specified in their profiles, allowing for boolean search.
Available From: Filters based on the candidate's specified availability.
Work Preferences: Filters by specific work preferences.
Employment Type: Filters by employment type preferences.
Availability: Filters by the candidate's availability.
Custom Match Query: This advanced option allows you to add filters that consider custom fields in the candidate's profile. Please contact your customer success representative for assistance with configuration.
Default Settings: Clicking the “Default” button adds all default values to the filters
It's important to understand the logic represented by the three dots next to each field:
If you select 3 dots, the 'AND' operator is applied, requiring all specified terms to appear. For example, 'programme analyst' with 3 dots means the search looks for 'programme AND analyst.'
If you choose 1 or 2 dots, the 'OR' operator is applied, allowing either term to appear. For example, 'programme analyst' with 1 or 2 dots means the search looks for 'programme OR analyst.'
This logic also applies to fields like tags or availability. If you want a specific tag or availability field to be mandatory, always use the three dots logic.
Once you've applied your filters, click 'apply' to preview your search results. To save your filters, click 'save.'
