Metabase.

Metabase is an open-source business intelligence tool used for visualising and analysing data. It provides a user-friendly interface that allows non-technical users to create charts, dashboards, and visualisations from various data sources. EVA understands that everyone has their unique preferences. That's why we offer you the ability to create dashboards and reports.

How to create reports:

Creating reports in Metabase involves several steps. Here's a general guide:

Metabase automatically generates a database schema after connecting to your data source(s). This schema helps in visualising data tables and relationships.

1. Create a Question:

  • Click on the "New" button.

  • Click on the "question" button.

  • Join the data source and table(s) you want to work with.

 2. Add Tables or Join Tables:

  • Select your primary table and select the columns which are needed. Find and select the tables you want to join from the list available under your data source.

  • To join tables, you'll need to define the relationship between them. Usually, this involves linking common columns between the tables (e.g., a user ID present in both tables).

  • Once tables are joined, you can select the fields and metrics you want to include in your report from these joined tables.

  • Proceed to visualise your data, choose the type of visualisation you prefer, and set up any necessary filters or sorting options.

3. Customise Visualization:

  • Once you've selected your data, choose the visualisation type (e.g., bar chart, line chart, table, etc.).

  • Adjust the visualisation settings (axes, colours, labels) to suit your preference.

4. Save the Question:

  • After creating the desired visualisation, save it. This enables you to reuse it in dashboards or other reports.

5. Create Dashboards:

  • Compile multiple saved questions or visualisations into a dashboard.

  • Click on plus icon to select the option "New Dashboard" and add the saved questions/visualisations to the dashboard layout.

  • Publish the dashboard -> You can contact us to do this as only EVA admin have the option to publish.

6. Share and Collaborate:

  • Metabase allows you to share reports and dashboards with applications.

    • Navigate to the System settings section and initiate the creation of a new dashboard.

    • Complete all required fields with the necessary information.

    • Upon selecting 'Allowed User Groups,' you'll find dropdown options containing Contact and Agent user groups, allowing you to choose multiple items.

    • Connect the Metabase ID you've generated and save the entered details.

    • By following these steps, the dashboard will become accessible within the Analytics section.

Tips:

  • Utilise filters: Incorporate filters in questions to allow users to interactively change data views.

  • Explore different visualisation types: Metabase offers various visualisation options to represent data effectively.

  • Experiment and refine: Play around with different settings and visualisations to find the most informative representation for your data.

EVA Database tables and reports

EVA tables are the fundamental structure within a database system used to store and organise data. They are composed of rows and columns, resembling a grid where data is stored in a structured format. From EVA tables you will get details of Candidate, Job, Job request, Pipeline etc.

Additionally you will be able to view the existing reports from our custom reports by navigating to instances and selecting the custom in Metabase.
