Action “Execute Job Request Workflow transition”
Introduction
Our new feature simplifies the management of Job Requests by automatically updating their status based on transitions in the linked Job. However, this transition is available only in “Job Workflow Transitions”. This guide will walk you through the steps to configure and execute this automated process.
To update any actions that will affect job requests, based on job workflow move, you should follow 2 basic steps:
Configuring action “Execute Job request workflow Transitions” for Job Workflow: Please refer to the detailed instructions in this article for setting up the new workflow transition or editing the existing transition action by selecting “Execute Job request workflow Transitions” action in Job Workflow Eva Business Workflows Configurations | Configurations
Also, please ensure that the required transitions are already configured in the Job Request WorkflowHow to test “Execute Job Request Workflow Transition” action: To check the configuration is working, follow these steps and change the job status:
Navigate to “Jobs and Talent”
Search for the job for which you need to have the status change. Ex: Senior QA
Click on the “General Information” section of the job
In the job FSEM, click on the workflow status drop down
Change the status of the job to desired status. Example in the screenshot the job status is changed from “Active” – > “QA Interview”
A confirmation modal appears with the transition for the Job request workflow which was configured earlier. Ex : Created → “In Progress”
Since the “Allow agent editing” check box was enabled previously, the transition check box in the confirmation modal can be enabled or disabled by the agent
Click on “Confirm selected” in the confirmation modal
Now the job status has changed from “Active” -> “QA Interview”. To check the Job request status, follow the steps below
Click on the Job request flow in the “Job Requests” section below in the Job FSEM. Ex: “QA Requests” workflow
Job request FSEM opens in a new tab, notice that the status of the Job request has changed from “Created” → “In Progress” as configured earlier under “Utils” -> Business Workflows
With this custom automation feature, managing Job Requests becomes more efficient and streamlined. By linking Job status transitions to Job Request status changes, you can ensure that your workflow remains synchronised, reducing manual effort and potential errors
There will be a delay of approximately 5 minutes for the triggered actions to be performed and reflected in the application.
