Using Skills in EVA Features
Utilising Skill Taxonomy in Match Filter
The Match Filter on EVA effectively leverages Skill Taxonomy to enhance the precision of job and candidate matching. Here's how it works:
Job Selection: When you select a job in the filter, all active skill taxonomies associated with the job's pipeline will be displayed.
Proficiency Levels: For each skill under the 'Match' section, its proficiency level will be shown. For Skills without Proficiency, only the skills are displayed.
Choosing Skills and Proficiencies:
- Each skills Taxonomy is available as a separate filter in Match
- Users can select multiple skills and their proficiency levels from dropdown menus in the skill taxonomy.Highlighted Selections: Selected skills are highlighted in the side panel for easy reference.
Applying Filters: Upon clicking 'Apply', matching candidates are displayed in the middle panel.
Internal Database Filter: When the internal database filter is selected by an agent, all active taxonomies are displayed in the Match section. Please see the screenshot below how any skill from the taxonomies can be selected
User Group and Workflow Sharing: The skill taxonomy shared with the particular user group and the job workflow appear in the match filters.
Filter by Proficiency Conditions: Candidates can be filtered by skill proficiency under 'must,' 'should,' and 'nice' conditions.
Combining Filters: The Skill Taxonomy filter can be applied alongside other filters for more refined results.
Pre-filled Skills: When a job contains skills, they are pre-filled in the taxonomy field on the Match filter.
This functionality allows for a more targeted and efficient matching process, ensuring that the right candidates are aligned with the appropriate job requirements based on their skills and proficiencies.
CRUD Filters
Skills appear in the CRUD filters for Jobs, Candidates, and Job Requests.
Users are able to see the Skill Taxonomies filter in the CRUD when it is shared with “View Only” or “Can Edit” permissions.
Skills in EVA Bot
Seamless Target Integration with Skill Taxonomies
With the introduction and activation of a new skill taxonomy, such as ABCD, the EVAbot campaign interface dynamically updates its available targets. Look out for targets like Get candidate skills - “IT Skills” in your list – these are automatically generated to ensure your campaign targets align with the latest skill taxonomies.
These dynamically created targets go beyond just names; they actively showcase a skill dictionary tailored to the IT Skill taxonomy. This feature guarantees that your EVAbot campaigns reflect the most current and relevant skills associated with the specified taxonomy.
Skills in Talent Portal/Candidate Portal
When a campaign utilises the target Get candidate skills - “IT Skills”, candidates accessing the Skill Taxonomy Widget in the Candidate Portal enjoy a personalised experience. The widget exclusively displays skills from the IT Skills taxonomy, streamlining the candidate's view to focus only on the skills directly related to that taxonomy. This ensures a more targeted and meaningful interaction with relevant skills during the candidate's journey.

Dynamic Skill Section Creation in Candidate FSEM
As soon as you create and activate a new skill type, a corresponding skill section is automatically generated in the Candidate FSEM. This dynamic feature ensures that the Candidate FSEM always reflects the latest skill types you've set up, keeping it up-to-date and relevant.
Creating New Skill Sections in Job FSEM
When you create a new skill type and share it within a Pipeline workflow,a new skill section, specific to this skill type, is automatically generated within the Job FSEM, linked to that Pipeline workflow. This means that the Job FSEM dynamically adapts to include new skill types as they are shared and incorporated into workflows.
Displaying All Active Skill Types in Job Request FSEM
In the Job Request FSEM, you'll find that all active skill types are showcased. This comprehensive display ensures that every active skill type is visible and considered in the Job Request FSEM, offering a complete view of available skills for better decision-making and job matching.
Skills in Public Job Page
When a skill taxonomy is created and a new set of skills is added to a job, the job's public page gets updated automatically. You'll see a new skill category list right there.
Everyone can view these categories on the job page, no matter which group they belong to. It's made easy for everyone to stay in the loop about the skills connected to a job.
Skills in CV PDF
When a new skill taxonomy is active, you can see it in action in the CV PDF editor. As you edit the Skills section, this new taxonomy will be available for you to choose from in the multiselect field.
For instance, if a candidate has skills categorised under the IT Skills taxonomy, and the CV PDF is set to showcase skills from this taxonomy, you'll notice this when you download the CV PDF. The IT Skills taxonomy will be displayed as per the specified design, with its section header clearly marked with the skill taxonomy name, ensuring a clear and professional presentation of skills.
CVs Without Specific Taxonomy Skills: In scenarios where a candidate doesn't have any skills from a certain taxonomy (like IT Skills), and the CV PDF is set up to display skills from this taxonomy, the CV will adapt accordingly. When you download such a candidate's CV PDF, it won't show the IT Skills section at all. This ensures that the CV remains relevant and concise, omitting sections that aren't applicable to the candidate's skillset.
